Architecture, in anyone’s definition of it, exists primarily to be at the service of the body….Boundaries for an architectural body can only be suggested, never determined.
Architectural Body Madeline Gins and Arakawa

My work focuses on conflating the spaces we inhabit (landscape, architecture, bodies, minds, etc.) and exploring the sense of touch in a visual way. Formally and conceptually, my installations are complemented by architectural sites. In my work, microscopic scenes can be explored/experienced on a gigantic scale. Drawing becomes a dimensional, tactile action. Topology, sewing, and elements of mapping underscore the parallels between the structures and functions of the human body, architecture, and the landscape.
